Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Float RN Nights This role is located in a Level III Trauma Center's ICU. The position involves providing care for adult patients with diverse diagnoses, including substance abuse, sepsis, respiratory failure, and cardiac conditions. The RN will work in a 20-bed medical/surgical ICU with floating responsibilities across Medical/Surgical units, supporting high-acuity patient care.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Massachusetts RN License; active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; 2+ years of adult ICU experience, preferably in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU); minimum of 2 years of continuous work experience at the same location; telemetry competency; availability to work night shifts; experience reading tele strips.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior floating experience across adult medical/surgical units.
• Additional Information: The role requires floating across adult medical/surgical units, including up to four or five patients per nurse depending on patient acuity. The unit cares for patients with complex conditions such as severe psychiatric issues, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. The EMR system in use is EPIC. Candidates must submit license, resume, references, skills checklist, and candidate submission coversheet.
