Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse - Pediatric Speciality - Location not specified. This role involves providing direct nursing care for anesthetized pediatric patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period. The position requires adherence to sterile technique standards and involves evaluating patient responses, managing pain, and anticipating patient needs based on procedures performed and physiological considerations.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. One or more of the following: Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
• Schedule: M-F, AM flex schedule, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Position for Pre-Op/PACU RN who will help manage care for surgical patients, ensuring safe transitions from admission through discharge. The unit operates 3 fully equipped Operating Rooms supporting general, specialty, and emergency surgical cases, with additional procedure rooms for diagnostic and therapeutic GI and minor procedural cases. The role involves high-turnover procedural care paired with complex acute surgical recovery, including hemodynamic monitoring, airway management, pain and nausea control, and management of potential post-operative complications. The rotation includes weeknights and full weekend call coverage to support emergency surgical and procedural needs outside standard hours, with a mandatory 30-minute call response time.
