Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position available in Colorado. This role involves delivering critical nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ICU setting, with responsibilities that include monitoring vital signs, managing advanced cardiac and ventilator support, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Administer nursing care to patients in an efficient, safe, and courteous manner using appropriate nursing procedures. Provide age-appropriate care for patients from newborns to end of life, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles. Maintain telemetry monitoring and basic arrhythmia interpretation skills.
• Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; associate degree required; bachelors degree preferred. Current state Registered Nurse Licensure within Colorado; compact license accepted with Colorado license obtained within first 90 days. Current BLS, PALS (or obtainable at the facility within 6 months), ACLS certifications, and successful completion of EKG course required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Requirements: ICU experience preferred; basic fetal monitoring and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification obtained within 4 months of hire preferred for applicable units.
• Responsibilities: Provide patient-centered nursing care, operate within scope of practice, supervise non-professional staff, assist physicians, monitor patient status, administer medications following safety protocols, and utilize electronic medical record systems for documentation. Keep knowledge current through participation in in-service programs and educational opportunities, and actively contribute to team objectives and safety standards.
