Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized care within a PCU environment, focusing on neuro, trauma, and complex patient cases. The RN will be responsible for managing patient conditions, titrating drips, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Valid license to practice; minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical (MS), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within the last year.
• Education Requirements: Nursing degree/certification compliant with state licensing standards.
• Location Requirements: Candidates must live within 80 miles of the facility.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing neuro and trauma patients, including strokes, seizures, spinal injuries, and hematomas, as well as working with ventilators, Trachs, Vents, and monitoring devices.
• Must have experience with drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Insulin, and others, with a willingness to train on vents.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Self-scheduling; every other weekend and holiday shifts; experience with Cerner charting system; working on a Level 2 trauma unit, managing mixed care, cardiac, general, orthopedic, hematology/oncology patients; orientation includes shifts with a preceptor.
