Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Morristown/Goryeb. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to women during high-risk pregnancies and childbirth in a large hospital setting. The role requires managing a high patient census while ensuring quality, safe, and compassionate care for mothers and their newborns.

Job Details

• Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred; active RN license required; current BLS and ACLS certifications required; 0 years of experience minimum; located in Morristown or surrounding area.
• Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered care in high-risk labor and delivery units, including assessments, documentation, and use of emergency equipment and procedures. Support completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness. Support pre-operative and post-operative patient education, assessment, and safety protocols. Demonstrate professional practice, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk pregnancies and managing high patient census in large hospital facilities.
• Additional Information: Must have experience with assessment skills, clinical skills, emergency equipment and procedures, documentation, confidentiality, universal protocol, safe transfer techniques, proper body mechanics, pre-operative and post-operative assessments, and pre admission testing.
