Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Location: Not specified. This high-acuity, Level 4 NICU positions demand experienced healthcare professionals to provide specialized care for neonatal patients ranging from birth through 1 year old, including those requiring therapeutic hypothermia, treatment of congenital conditions, and management of complex neonatal illnesses. The role involves delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment focused on critically ill neonates.
Job Details
- Position Description: 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience required.
- Certifications and Qualifications: Valid Nursys License, Ascension Profile, and Ascension 2 Professional References.
- Unit Description: High acuity, fast-paced Level 4 NICU caring for neonates with conditions such as HIE/Therapeutic Hypothermia, VLBW/ELBW, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, congenital heart defects, surgical neonates, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Arrhythmias, Congenital Birth Defects, and Renal Failure. Patient age range: Neonatal through 1 year old.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Nursys License, Ascension Profile, and at least 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience.
