Job Summary
The location is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift assignment. This role involves managing patients with complex conditions such as DKA, septic shock, ETOH withdrawal, hypoxemia, acute respiratory distress, and Covid-19. The position requires ICU experience and offers opportunities to work in a small community hospital setting with a diverse case load.

• Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS, ACLS; ICU experience; valid license to submit; minimum of 2 years of experience; ability to titrate drips including Propofol, fentanyl, insulin, and others.
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC and PALS certifications.
• Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; two-week block schedule with grouping of 3-4 shifts in a row; every other weekend; holiday rotation may apply.
• Additional Information:
  • Shared nursing staff with Medical-Surgical and Intermediate Care Units on the same floor.
  • Small 40-bed community hospital, Level 4 Trauma designation.
  • Support staff includes charge nurses, nurse aids, hospitalist, and ICU intensivist during weekdays.
  • RT staff available 24/7 to assist with treatments.
  • Telemetry and monitor techs present; experience reading telemetry strips required.
  • Floating to IMCU, MS, or ER may be needed; prior ED experience is beneficial.
  • Scrub dress code is any color; unit orientation includes 1-2 shifts with a preceptor.
