Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse - Days Shift, located at a healthcare facility, is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals in a specialized unit that monitors patients requiring intermediate level care. The role involves collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive clinical support in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for data collection and patient monitoring in the PCU, with typical procedures including blood transfusions, IV starts, and central line removals. The unit has telemetry monitoring, continuous pulse oximetry, and uses Meditech electronic medical records.
• Required Qualifications: Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; experience with telemetry; approved for the healthcare facilitys location; 0 years of experience minimum.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidates should possess a team-oriented attitude, be self-motivated, and engaged. Experience in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ICU, Telemetry, or PCU is preferred. The role involves caring for high fall risk patient populations and performing respiratory and cardiac assessments.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate compliance with unit policies and guidelines; specific unit policies can be attached if necessary.
