Job Summary
A medical facility in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. This role involves providing hands-on nursing care, assessing patients, interpreting data, and collaborating with the healthcare team to implement treatment plans within the scope of practice and regulatory standards. The position offers a rotating shift schedule to accommodate clinical needs.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The Clinical Nurse (RN) in the PACU provides direct patient care, evaluating recovery status, managing discomforts, and supporting patients and families through perioperative phases. Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, developing and executing individualized care plans, and monitoring patient responses to interventions. Nurses in this role also serve as educators for patients and staff, fostering a team environment that emphasizes continuous improvement.
  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The Clinical Nurse is responsible for their own professional development, including maintaining licensure and BLS certification. They should demonstrate the ability to respond quickly to complex clinical situations and contribute actively to team strategies for patient care improvement.
