Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in a Step Down Unit specializing in Neuro Surgical Care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and managing patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details

• Location: Neuro Surgical Step Down Unit
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications & Education: Must possess an ASN degree, with preferred BSN. Certifications required include ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, BLS (AHA), and current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a Medical Surgical (MS)/Telemetry (Tele) unit in a major acute care hospital setting. Must have a strong MS/Tele background.
• Skills & Experience: Neuro experience, Epic charting experience, ventilator management (preferred), patient assessment, therapeutic nursing interventions, evidence-based practice care standards, nursing care documentation.
• Additional Information: Must be able to float to units within competency as required.
• Responsibilities include performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, and supporting evidence-based practice standards.
