This role involves providing specialized bedside nursing care within a Progressive Care Unit, focusing on neuro and trauma patients. The nurse will be responsible for managing complex patient needs, including drips, vents, and Trach care, in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Job Details

• Certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
• Education/Experience: Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical (MS), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience. Must have recent experience within the last year and drip experience. Highly preferred: home Trach vents experience.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Clinical responsibilities include managing patients with neuro diagnoses (e.g., strokes, seizures, Guillain-Barr syndrome), trauma ortho injuries, and other acute neuro and trauma cases.
• Additional responsibilities involve titrating titratable drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, and Insulin.
• The charge nurse will take a full team assignment during night shift, with float requirements across sister units and multiple specialties.
• Shift-specific orientation includes general and preceptor-led shifts, with alertness to prior Marshfield experience if applicable.
• Scrub attire is solid color scrubs.
• Self-scheduling is available with management oversight, and shifts include every other weekend and holiday coverage.
• Floating between units (mixed care, cardiac, general, ortho, heme/onc) may be required.
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility, with no call or standby requirements.
