Job Details

• Position Description:
  The Telemetry Nurse will care for cardiac medical and surgical patients, including post-cardiac catheterization procedures, post-cardiac surgery, and patients with arrhythmias, chest pain, and other cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include managing patient care, titrating medications such as nitroglycerin, heparin, and amiodarone, and ensuring effective monitoring through central telemetry.

• Required Qualifications:
  Certifications in ACLS, BLS, with a minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in a fast-paced hospital setting, including experience with post-procedural cath lab patients, cardiac surgical patients, and management of set rate drips. Valid license required.

• Schedule:
  Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week.

• Additional Information:
  RN's are required to read their own telemetry strips; there is a 24/7 central telemetry monitoring system. The role involves working with RTs for aerosol therapies and managing respiratory equipment. Staff will participate in a one-shift hospital onboarding and one-shift unit orientation.
