Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a rural area is responsible for providing direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department. This role involves managing variable patient traumas and medical emergencies, ensuring swift and accurate treatment, and collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver quality care.

Job Details

• Location: Remote rural healthcare facility
• Certifications Required: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), TNCC
• Education Requirements: BSN not required
• License: Valid MI License in Hand
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Responsibilities: Manage variable patient diagnoses including trauma, STEMI, strokes, MVAs; operate monitors and perform EKGs, ABGs, and breathing treatments; utilize computerized charting systems; collaborate with in-house medical staff; follow department-specific policies and procedures; complete orientation including computer-based training and floor orientation
• Additional Information: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3-4; assist with triage and overflow patients; participate in rotating weekend and holiday shifts; float to inpatient units as needed
