Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility setting. The role involves providing patient care in a 22-bed unit specializing in cardiac, respiratory, and post-operative care. The assignment offers an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and utilize advanced clinical skills in a dynamic environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: RN in the IMCU with responsibilities including managing patients with diagnoses such as cardiac, post-surgical, and respiratory conditions. The unit does not utilize ventilators but manages complex cases like pacemakers, trachs, and continuous CPAP/Bipap.
• Certifications and Education Requirements: Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support); Illinois RN license in hand; minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 5 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Additional Information: The role requires EPIC electronic medical record experience and a positive attitude. Experience with titrating drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, insulin, and heparin is preferred. The unit has a team lead during the day and nurse aides on staff. Float to other units such as PCU or med-surg may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must have a valid Illinois license, EPIC experience, and be within 50 miles of the facility to be considered for the adjusted billing rate.
