Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Lewiston, ME. This position involves providing specialized patient care within the ICU, primarily focused on trauma, neuro, and critical care cases, supporting a Level 3 Trauma Center with a diverse patient population. The role requires delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Job Details

• Location: Lewiston, ME
• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU
• Shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, NIH certification, at least 2 years of ICU or trauma experience, flexibility to float to other units including CICU, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Emergency Room, ability to care for geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with trauma and neuro cases
• Knowledge of managing sepsis, shock, multi-organ failure, respiratory failure, brain injuries, and post-surgical complications
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to handle high-acuity cases

Additional Information
Candidates should demonstrate a versatile skill set suited for diverse critical care scenarios, including neuro and trauma patient management. The role involves working in a facility equipped with ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, and extensive patient handling equipment.
