Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse for a night shift position. This role involves providing advanced patient care within a critical care environment, focusing on trauma, cardiac, stroke, and other acute diagnoses. The ICU nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing complex patient conditions in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications are required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
- Shift Details: Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Monitoring and interpreting electronic fetal heart monitoring, managing patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, renal failure, and respiratory distress. RNs are required to titrate various drips, including cardiac, insulin, and sedation. They will assist with nasal cannula and Ventilator troubleshooting.
- Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid drivers license, follow hospital nail policies (artificial nails prohibited), and adhere to the facilitys cancellation policies. Self-scheduling is available for core staff, with specific limitations on block scheduling.
- Orientation: One shift of unit-specific training is provided before start.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be eligible to submit licenses and certifications as specified.
