Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse in the location This position involves providing care to medical-surgical patients within a high-acuity, level 1 trauma center. The role requires collaborating with inter-professional colleagues to plan and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association); Active North Dakota or Compact Registered Nurse license.
Education Requirements/Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent Medical Surgical experience in a hospital setting with at least 200 beds, preferably with experience with surgical oncology patients.
Location Requirements: Candidates must have experience with Epic electronic health record system and be able to float to various units as needed.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Typical duties include patient care for Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients, utilizing equipment like EMR-Epic, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry. The unit has 47 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during day shifts and 6:1 during night shifts. Orientation involves a lead center and preceptor support.
