Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position located in an acute care facility. This role involves caring for adult patients in a 30-bed unit specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry services. The position requires a compassionate and adaptable nurse with the ability to interpret telemetry strips accurately and care for both MST/PCU patients.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts from 0700 to 1900 or 1930 to 0730, totaling a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Certifications, Education, and Experience: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); valid nursing license; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a related setting.
• Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, monitoring telemetry strips, participating in patient preceptorship, and attending hospital and unit orientation based on experience.
• Experience or Skills: Ability to read and interpret telemetry, willing to care for adult MST/PCU patients, and competent in caring for stable C-Pap or Bi-Pap patients.
• Schedule details: Every other weekend, with specific rotation for holidays and low census standby rotations.
• Float Requirements: Float into the Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit, and West Campus Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Other: Attending required orientation sessions, maintaining appropriate dress code and scrubs, and managing patient care in an acute setting.
