Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse Night Shift Location: unspecified. This role involves providing critical patient care for individuals with conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, and neurological issues. Candidates will work in a 24/7 critical care environment with a team including hospitalists or intensivists, utilizing advanced equipment and performing drips titration as needed.
Job Details
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of experience as an ICU nurse.
- Education: Valid nursing license to submit.
- Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility.
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include managing ventilators, BiPAPs, BiPAPs, and troubleshooting critical care equipment, along with reading and interpreting telemonitors.
- The role involves working with nurse aids/patient care techs (one until 20 patients, then two until 24), and participating in unit-based orientation, including a system orientation and onboarding.
- RNs will be required to perform patient titrations of vasopressors, insulin, TNK, Heparin, IV antibiotics, sedatives, and other drugs.
- Shift schedules are set with a charge nurse on each shift, and floating to PCU and Medical floors may be required.
- The position starts on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/11/2027.
