Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor RN Night Shift Location unspecified. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a Med/Surg unit, primarily handling surgical, orthopedic, trauma, and elective surgery patients. The position includes opportunities to work across multiple campuses as needed, with a focus on experienced charge nursing skills and proficiency in monitoring and managing diverse patient conditions.

Job Details:

• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; NIHSS certification; 1 year of experience in a Med/Surg setting or 2 years preferred.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: First day orientation includes skills, policies, procedures, and Meditech training, followed by 2-3 shifts on the floor. Night orientation involves one day shift and one night shift. May float within scope to assist with basic skills or tele tech work; float rotation may be required.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Provide patient care for primary surgical, orthopedic, trauma, and elective surgery cases, including bariatric, bypass, Roux-en-Y, general, trauma, CCU, and hospice/palliative patients. No titrating drips or reading strips required.
• Qualifications for Work Environment: Must hold recent charge experience within the past year. Able to handle assigned patient ratios as specified.
