Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients from adolescent (16+) through geriatric populations. The role requires strong critical thinking skills, effective collaboration with medical teams, and proficiency in utilizing healthcare technology.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provide individualized nursing care for critically ill patients, including assessment, responding to patient complications, interpreting hemodynamic monitoring results, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare workers. The role involves overseeing the care of patients in a critical care environment with the use of advanced equipment such as electronic charting systems, smart pumps, and ventilators.
• Required Qualifications: SD RN or multistate compact RN License; BLS & ACLS certifications; minimum of 2 years ICU experience; knowledge of monitoring and equipment used in critical care; ability to interpret hemodynamic data; effective communication skills; willingness to float to other units as needed; scheduled for rotating shifts with 12-hour shifts, working every other weekend and holiday; availability for 48 hours per week starting 10/19/2026 and ending 01/18/2027.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Med/Surg, PEDS, and Emergency Department settings; certification in accordance with hospital guidelines such as CCRN or TNCC.
• Additional Information: The nurse will participate in a 2-day hospital orientation and 1-2 days of unit-specific training based on experience. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 for critical care patients, with overflow Med/Surg patients at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
