Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the area is responsible for providing specialized care to patients during the childbirth process, including postpartum and neonatal care. This role involves rotating day and night shifts, with a focus on delivering compassionate and high-quality care in an acute division setting.

Job Details

• Position Description: The role involves caring for patients in a postpartum/nursery and labor and delivery unit, with a preference for experience across these areas. The nurse may float to medical-surgical units when OB services are unavailable.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); valid licensure; minimum of 2 years' experience in labor and delivery; location in the assigned area; and current certifications are required.
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, including every third weekend.
• Additional Information: The unit is equipped with EPIC, Pyxis, and OBIX systems. Scrub color preference is for nursing staff. The shift rotation is every three weeks, with the possibility of floating to medical-surgical units if OB is closed. Candidates should be prepared for care in a high-acuity environment with four beds and a 1:1 patient ratio in labor, and 1:3 in couplets. The facility is a Level Care setting within an acute division.
