Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse, located in the area, will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced acute care environment. The role involves working scheduled night shifts and floating to related units as needed, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and patient safety protocols.
Job Details
- Position Description: Unit notes include weekend coverage every other week if needed, with floating to Medical Surgical or Intensive Care Units for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patient status only. The unit has 21 beds, with patient ratios of 1:4. Responsibilities include care for post-cardiac catheterization patients and those with other complex needs.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse, ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), NIHSS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Telemetry settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Post-Cath Lab patients is preferred.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role requires working every other weekend, with the possibility of up to 2 extra mandatory shifts per 6 weeks. Some holidays may be required. The unit routinely floats to Medical Surgical and ICU units for PCU patients, limited to PCU patient status only. Candidates must be available to start on 10/12/2026, with the assignment ending on 01/11/2027.
