Job Summary
Step Down Unit RN (Registered Nurse) Located in a healthcare facility, this position involves providing expert nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a mixed medical-surgical and intermediate care setting. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to manage a range of complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Position Description: Nights 36 or 48 hour options; Unit accepts first-time travelers; Minimum of 1 year experience required; Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Willing to take some Medical/Surgical overflow.
Required Qualifications: Valid applicable state or compact nursing license in hand at time of submittal; Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Minimum 1 year of recent relevant nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting; Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of Vasoactive drips, and post-cardiac procedures.
Additional Information: The unit will have a census of approximately 12-14 patients per shift with a nurse-to-patient ratio ranging from 1:4 to 1:6. The care team includes multidisciplinary support such as respiratory services and pharmacy, and the unit is equipped for a variety of cardiac, respiratory, and surgical patient care procedures. Orientation includes 24 hours dedicated to onboarding, with modules completed onsite during orientation.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must have a valid license, be compliant with onboarding requirements, and be approved by the facility.
