Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse - ER Specialty - Location unspecified. This position involves providing urgent and emergent patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting, with a focus on delivering comprehensive care across all age ranges. The role requires flexibility in shift schedules, including rotating night and evening shifts.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Active RN license in Maryland, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI certification (completed during onboarding). NRP and TNCC preferred. Minimum one year of relevant experience required.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Providing care to patients with diverse diagnoses including complex cases and all age groups, utilizing advanced emergency procedures and interventions. Floating within the specialty and sister ED facilities as needed.
- Patient and Unit Details: Treatment of varied patient demographics, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, with the department handling approximately 90 visits per day across 32 rooms.
- Compliance Requirements: Candidates must meet onboarding deadlines with required certifications and documentation. Acceptance without an interview is required.
- Shift Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday shifts are scheduled as needed.
- Additional Qualifications: Experience with patient ratios of 1:4 up to 1:5 depending on acuity, charting experience using Epic system, and familiarity with emergency procedures and acute care management.
