Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Springfield, MO. This position involves providing high-quality, acute patient care in a busy urban trauma center specializing in trauma, stroke, STEMI, and burn care. The role requires delivering evidence-based nursing care aligned with established standards and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Job Details

  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
  • Location: Springfield, MO
  • Shift: Days, 0700-1900, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications: Current RN License (meeting Missouri licensure eligibility or licensed in Missouri); BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA; TNCC, NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start)
  • Experience: 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma facility, preferably with high acuity, trauma/pediatrics, and high patient volume (200+ patients/day)
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Additional Job-Related Requirements: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, monitor patient progress, coordinate with ancillary departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality. Must demonstrate clinical expertise in emergency care, effective human relations, and communication skills. Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a high-acuity, urban trauma setting with trauma/pediatric care, and a determined, decisive, and flexible personality.
  • Additional Information: The role involves direct patient care for a diverse age group, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care within established nursing practice guidelines. Utilizes EPIC electronic medical records system. RTO (Registered Time Off) must be made up if applicable, and holiday RTO is limited to one request per assignment.
