Job Details

• Position Description: Provide patient care in a 36-bed telemetry unit with patient ratios of 4:1 with cath recovery, and a maximum of 6:1, sometimes stretched to 7:1. Utilize remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps with electronic documentation via Meditech.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and approval from the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH). No minimum years of experience required; proficiency in telemetry and knowledge of chest tubes, dysthymia training are preferred.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The unit performs chest tube insertions, bedside Paracentesis, and Thoracentesis. May float to Orthopedics or Medical-Surgical units as per floating policy. Dress code requires scrubs (any style except camouflage). The unit fosters a patient satisfaction-focused environment, maintaining recognition awards such as the Daisy and Bee awards, and monthly STAR awards.
