Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, Wausau, WI This position involves providing care on a medical-surgical unit, focusing on adult patients with various conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological and gastrointestinal disorders, and infectious diseases. The role supports inpatient care delivery during night shifts and involves interdisciplinary collaboration.
Job Details:
- Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS- AHA or ARC, at least 2 years of experience required, trauma level II experience highly preferred, EPIC charting experience required.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care, manage complex cases, collaborate with healthcare teams, and adhere to unit protocols.
- Certifications: Valid Wisconsin RN license and BLS certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Additional Information: Experience in trauma units is highly valued. The role involves working on a Med-Ped unit (excluding pediatric patients) and managing a typical patient ratio of 1:4-5 during day shifts and 1:6-7 during nights. Candidates should demonstrate resilience, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills. Scrub colors are flexible, and vaccination policies are in place during flu season.
