Job Summary
Pediatrics (PEDS) Location
This Pediatric Floor position involves providing specialized care for infants, adolescents, and adults in a dynamic healthcare environment. The healthcare provider will deliver quality patient care, support interdisciplinary teams, and work within a fast-paced setting requiring flexibility across multiple locations.

Job Details

Certifications: California RN license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; CA RN license in hand required
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric med/surg and pediatric step down experience
Location Requirements: Must be willing to float to multiple UCSF locations as needed
Schedule: Rotating shifts (days and nights), 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Additional information: Must be able to work Christmas and New Years holidays; CPI preferred.
Responsibilities include managing pediatric patients with acute and chronic conditions, administering medications such as anti-seizure medications, managing respiratory support devices (BiPAP/CPAP), and operating equipment including electronic fetal heart monitors and infusion pumps.
Prior experience with charting systems such as Epic, and knowledge of pediatric-specific procedures and protocols are required.
Orientation hours: 48 hours prior to start date.
Submittal requirements: Two references from the most recent employer must be provided at the time of application. Travelers can be booked as travel or float staff; floating to different units or locations within a 75+ mile radius may occur.
