Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) is based in an intensive care environment and is responsible for providing high-quality patient care with a focus on critical health needs. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with complex and acute conditions within the ICU setting, ensuring adherence to all practice standards and professional regulations.

Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit Nights 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); ACLS Certification; a minimum of 6 months to 3 years of nursing (RN) experience; experience with intensive cardiac patients (CHF, COPD, end-stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia); skills in collaboration, communication, judgment/critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning, problem solving, quality, reliability, safety, and risk management; graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; CCRN; relevant skills certification (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as determined by the home unit.
• Additional Information: Will perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned; actively participates in professional development, continuing nursing education, and mandatory training; integrates current evidence-based research into practice; provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
