Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Kearney, NE. This position involves providing emergency care in a fast-paced, Level III trauma setting. The role requires teamwork and clinical excellence to ensure efficient patient care during night shifts.
Job Details
- Position Description: Requires at least two years of experience in emergency nursing, with certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). The RN must have EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience and a compact license.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Issued license, certifications in ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, minimum 2 years' experience in emergency nursing, EPIC EMR experience, and residency within 50 miles of the facility.
- Additional Information: The role includes working with a team that manages approximately 20 patients per day, with an influx during flu season. The ER has beds and trauma bays, and the nurse will participate in a flexible schedule including every other weekend, rotation holidays, and optional additional shifts. The position involves initial orientation with a preceptor and requires strong IV skills, cross-department collaboration with lab services, RRTs, physicians, pharmacy, security, and nurse aides.
