Job Summary
Step Down Unit RN Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced cardiac telemetry setting. The role requires ensuring optimal patient outcomes through skilled nursing interventions and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Details

• Certifications & Qualifications: Valid State License with a compact license in hand at submission. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Minimum of 2 years of surgical telemetry experience, including open heart surgery and vascular (groin) procedures. Epic experience is a mandatory requirement.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Management of post-operative open heart surgery patients, vascular surgical patients, and those with primary arrhythmias or cardiac conditions such as myocardial infarction and heart failure. Includes procedures like blood/blood products administration, cardioversion, defibrillation, and VAD management.
• Additional information: Candidates must be flexible to float to like units as needed and work three of the five designated holidays. Prior experience with chest tubes, sternal precautions, and managing patients with specialized structural heart support (VAD, TAVR) is required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates should respond to the specified screening question about prior experience at a Providence facility, including location and dates worked. Two references covering at least one year in the last three years are required.
