Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location: unspecified. This role involves providing specialized patient care within a cardiac telemetry unit, focusing on surgical, open heart surgery, and vascular patients. The position requires flexibility to float between units and adherence to unit protocols.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Nights
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission; at least 2 years of experience in surgical telemetry; experience with open heart surgery and vascular patients; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; certifications required include ACLS and BLS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic health record experience; experience with VAD and TAVR procedures; background in open heart post-operative care within the first 1-5 days.
- Responsibilities include managing cardiac telemetry, administering blood products, care of chest tubes and sternal precautions, and performing advanced cardiac monitoring and interpretation.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
