Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a critical care setting, supervising ancillary staff, and coordinating patient discharge planning to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details

Position Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Embraces the organizations core values including safety, teamwork, and results-oriented care. Performs a nursing assessment within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, and actively participates in patient rehabilitation. Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission. Communicates effectively regarding patient status changes to support continuity of care and patient safety.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience; Appropriate licensure and credentials for ICU nursing.
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The RN provides direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, delegates appropriately, and participates in team-building activities. Ensures personal and environmental safety following hospital and nursing policies, contributes to a positive work environment, and pursues ongoing professional development. Assumes charge responsibility as requested following orientation.
