Job Summary
Telemetry (Tele) Nurse in Torrance, California. This acute care role involves providing specialized patient monitoring and care for adult and geriatric patients. The position requires experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management, with a focus on ensuring patient stability and safety in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provides comprehensive telemetry nursing care, including managing ventilated patients and tracheostomy care.
- Certifications & Education Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required; minimum 1 year of nursing experience; active license in state or valid compact license.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting on 11/02/2026 and ending on 02/01/2027.
- Additional Requirements: Experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management is mandatory; patient ratios of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends; no on-call required; flexibility to float between units and sister facilities if needed.
- Responsibilities: Monitoring cardiac telemetry, managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, and providing wound and tracheostomy care.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include two references covering the past year, and responses to specific pre-screening questions regarding prior employment at a Providence facility and floating experience.
