Job Summary
Gastroenterology Technologist (GITECH) This position is located in an acute care facility. The role involves supporting GI procedures, including ERCP and EUS, and requires certification in ACLS and BLS. The technologist will work evening shifts with on-call responsibilities, providing vital assistance in diagnostic and therapeutic GI interventions.
Job Details
- Position Description: Support GI procedures such as Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) in a Level 1 trauma environment.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in ACLS and BLS; minimum 1-year GI nursing experience; EPIC electronic health record experience; knowledge of ERCP and EUS procedures.
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 am, Monday through Friday, with weekend on-call coverage starting Friday at 5:30 pm and ending Monday at 7:00 am.
- Additional Information: Support required for patient care during GI procedures, working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to complex cases that include trauma and advanced endoscopic procedures.
