Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Specialist in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing care for patients undergoing vascular, neuro, electrophysiology, and cardiology procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases, in a dynamic environment. The role requires clinical expertise in ventilator and pressor management, with responsibilities extending across multiple radiological areas to support complex procedures.

Job Details

• Shifts: Rotating shifts with four ten-hour shifts, typically from noon to 10:30 PM or 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology; valid license to submit; willing to wait for license approval.
• Additional Responsibilities: Circulating and monitoring patients during procedures, assisting with procedures in radiological areas such as CT, Ultrasound, and MRI, recovering post-procedure patients, and managing conscious sedation.
• Equipment and EMR: Experience with Epic, GE MACLab, Siemens X-ray, and PACS. Epic experience required.
• On-Call: On call schedule when not in house, with a response time of 30 minutes for procedure nurses and technologists, and 45 minutes for recovery nurses.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Shift notes: Variable day shifts, with a mandatory call one night per week, every 3rd or 4th weekend, and about one holiday per year.
• Orientation: Two weeks of department-specific orientation with buddy support during the initial weeks.
