Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the location. This position involves providing specialized care to high-risk obstetric patients, including magnesium sulfate postpartum care, with a focus on cesarean sections, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum patients. The role requires collaborative patient management within a busy acute care hospital setting.

Job Details

• Certifications required: BLS, NRP; Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission).
• Education/Degree Requirements: Appropriate RN licensure with at least 1 year of experience in L&D.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients and magnesium sulfate postpartum care.
• Responsibilities include caring for neonates, adolescents, and adults, managing vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and handling conditions such as preeclampsia and diabetes.
• Experience with cesarean section, high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and vaginal delivery.
• Additional unit information: 20 beds, daily census of 16, with support services including respiratory, interpretation, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
• Candidates may be required to float within division to units such as Labor & Delivery recovery, NICU, and postpartum.
• Must work 3 of the 5 designated holidays, with all scheduling requests noted at submission.
• References: Two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
