Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Nights, located within the healthcare provider's facility. This role involves providing direct patient care for individuals with various medical conditions, including congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain, COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. The position requires adherence to unit-specific protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality healthcare services.

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• End Date: 01/25/2027
• Required Qualifications: BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association; minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience; licensed to submit license; must have Good standing license; must be in state for week of orientation
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Additional Information:
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5.
  • RNs are required to titrate drips, including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives.
  • Telemonitoring is available, and RNs are required to read their own strips.
  • Charge nurse/house supervisor takes an assignment.
  • Nursing staff includes nurse aides with a ratio of 1:8.
  • Equipment used includes Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents.
  • Self-scheduling and block scheduling are permitted.
  • Expectation to self-schedule at least six weekend shifts per six-week schedule and holiday shifts as required.
  • Floating may be required based on department needs, within zone 4.
  • Scrubs are navy blue.
  • Charting system used is EPIC.
  • No BSN required, but license submission is necessary.
  • Trauma level is not specified.
