Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse in the outpatient surgery setting. This position involves providing postoperative care to patients, managing recovery, and ensuring patient safety following surgical procedures. The role requires flexibility for variable start times and the ability to work a consistent schedule.

Job Details

• Location: Outpatient surgery setting, with variable start times starting at 0600 and staggered until 0830, primarily during day shifts.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 11/02/2026 and ending on 02/01/2027.
• Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit or similar setting, valid ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Responsibilities include monitoring patient recovery, assessing airway, managing ports, blood product administration, pain management, medication reconciliation, and documentation using electronic charting systems such as Epic.
• Skills needed include End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway management, medication management, and patient assessment.
• Additional Requirements: Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, including early starts and staying longer if scheduled for PACU. Candidates must include responses to specific submission questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities and references covering the last 3 years.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
