Job Summary
Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves caring for patients in an orthopedic unit and joint replacement center, with responsibilities including administering medications, assessing, monitoring, and preparing patients for surgical procedures. The role also includes working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, specialized environment.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Care for patients in an orthopedic unit and joint replacement center, managing procedures related to trauma, general medical, and surgical needs.
  • Required Qualifications: RN licensure, BLS Certification, at least 2 years of medical surgical or orthopedic nursing experience, and ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts for a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with every other weekend and holiday.
  • Additional Information: Orientation to the unit will be 6-12 hours. The unit utilizes EPIC charting and maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 or 5:1. No call is required, and the nurse will never work alone.
  • Licensing: Valid license required for submission.
  • Experience Requirement: 0 years minimum, with a preference for candidates with at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Shift Note: The position involves rotating 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday.
