Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor RN Nights within the organizations healthcare facility. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with inter-professional colleagues to ensure quality patient outcomes and adheres to professional standards and ethical practices.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday shift.
• Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association; active State or compact RN license.
• Education/Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor.
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, patient education, triage, and nursing interventions within the full scope of nursing practice.
• Demonstrates competency in practicing within the standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules.
• Coordinates and manages care, including for patients with complex needs, in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Performs age-related patient assessments and interventions, promotes a safe environment, and works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Unit notes specify Navy Blue scrubs, badge-in/out at the facility, and the ability to float to other Medical Surgical or Telemetry units as needed.
• Must note if the clinician has previously worked for Sanford Health, with end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
• Candidates must be willing to take a local assignment within an 80-mile radius of the facility.
