Job Summary
Step Down Unit, New York The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for delivering safe, competent, quality care to patients in a specialized medical setting. This role involves applying nursing principles based on research, evidence-based practice, and organizational standards while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 7 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active New York State Registered Nurse License, BLS certification, two (2) years of cardiology, telemetry, or VAD experience, and at least one (1) year of travel nursing experience for travel positions. Experience in the care delivery model of modified primary nursing, patient assessment, critical thinking skills, patient care management, and nursing process required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic health record experience, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred, but an associate degree with relevant experience is acceptable.
• Additional Information: The role entails providing patient care that emphasizes relationship-centered care, patient education, safety, and quality improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, collaborating with the healthcare team, and supporting patient and family engagement throughout the care process.
