Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse - OR - Location: Not Specified. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. It requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to support patient recovery, as well as executing delegated medical functions, providing health education, and documenting according to regulatory guidelines.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited School of Nursing, current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with no weekend or on call requirements.
• Additional Information: The role may require floating to other departments within the scope of competency and qualifications and may involve being placed on-call during scheduled shifts. The position emphasizes performing health assessments, patient treatment planning, health counseling, and health teaching, along with clinical documentation, resource utilization, and treatment plan monitoring.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting and a Bachelors degree of Nursing are preferred.
