Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) in a general team setting at a healthcare facility located in the Wausau area. The position involves working in a busy surgical environment with a variety of specialties, requiring experienced OR nurses to support multi-specialty cases. The role is suitable for a resilient, flexible candidate with a strong work ethic and prior OR experience.

Job Details

Position Description: OR RNGeneral Team, working on the general surgical team. Contract length is 13 weeks, with a start date as soon as possible.
Shift Schedule: Days shifts, 8 hours per shift, variable start times (0700-1530, 0900-1730, or 1100-1930). Minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: WI RN license, AHA BLS, ACLS certifications; 5+ years OR experience with at least 1 travel assignment; experience in a large facility with comparable ORs (20+ rooms). Circulate required; Da Vinci robotic experience required; trauma level II experience required.
Additional Information: The candidate must have their own vehicle and cannot rely on ride-sharing services due to on-call responsibilities. Experience with Epic charting system preferred. The OR includes 21 operating rooms, handling 40-60 cases daily across multiple specialties such as general surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, GI. Scrub experience is preferred, and flexibility to perform downtime tasks is valued. The position involves on-call duties including nights and weekends, with a 30-minute response time. During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are required to wear a mask at all times.
