Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Derby, Kansas. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment at a general facility with a 52-bed capacity. The position requires a dedicated health care professional to join a dynamic team delivering patient-centered emergency services.

Job Details

Position Description: Travel registered nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED) at a general health care facility. The unit features low to moderate acuity care with an average patient ratio of 3:1, and provides pediatric care using team nursing. Equipment includes Alaris infusion pumps, and the electronic medical record system is Meditech.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; minimum of 1-year emergency department (ED) RN experience; CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card certification; BLS certification; minimum 1-year experience in emergency nursing; certification and degree requirements as per licensing standards.
Preferred Qualifications: Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC); experience with Meditech electronic medical record system; prior travel experience or experience in large facilities exceeding 52 beds; familiarity with procedures such as IV starts, medication administration, sedation, and pediatrics.
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Candidates should have experience working in high-volume, fast-paced emergency departments and be adaptable to technical and procedural updates. The position is suitable for diverse, quick learners capable of managing a hectic ER environment.
