Operating Room (First Assistant) Enloe Medical Center: A healthcare facility is seeking a qualified Operating Room (First Assistant) professional to join their team. The role involves functioning as a first assistant to the surgeon in the perioperative setting, supporting surgical procedures under supervision, and practicing within the scope of perioperative nursing.

Job Details

• Position Description: The Registered Nurse First Assistant is a licensed professional who renders direct patient care in the perioperative setting by functioning as a first assistant to the surgeon. The RNFA practices an expanded role of perioperative nursing and has acquired knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon through organized instruction and supervised practice. The RNFA practices under the supervision of the surgeon in the Operating Room and Labor and Delivery Suite.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR), current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing, current CPR, current ACLS recognition, minimum of 6-8 weeks for credentialing process.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Positions will require credentialing through the Enloe Medical Staff office, and staff who are Med/Surg and Critical Care RNs may be required to float as needed. The start date is 11/02/2026 and the assignment concludes on 02/22/2027.
