Job Details

• Position Description: The Clinical Nurse (RN) on the medical surgical floor provides hands-on, evidence-based patient care, practicing within the scope of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, standards of care, and hospital policies. They assess patients, interpret data, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinate with other providers, and educate patients and families to promote self-care and prevent complications.
• Required Qualifications: California-licensed Registered Nurse (RN), current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, and 0 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The RN creates a healing environment by being present with patients and families, managing discomfort, providing emotional support, and guiding through illness and recovery phases. They monitor patient responses, collaborate with the healthcare team to develop care plans, teach patients and families about self-care, and contribute to team development and continuous improvement.
