Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) Location unspecified. This role involves floating between units within a short-term acute care facility that is a Level II trauma and pediatric trauma center. The position requires providing post-operative recovery care for various patient populations, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Job Details
- Position Description: BLOCK 1ST TIMER - PACU RN. Will position float between units.
- Shift: Rotating shift schedule with 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS; valid state license (compact license required); minimum 1 year of experience. Experience must include Pre-Operative, PACU, and Phase II care, along with IV skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with inpatient units, arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, central line care, ventilated patient care, and sedation management.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be experienced with charting in Epic electronic medical record systems and comfortable working in outpatient surgical procedures, including GYN, ortho, biopsies, thyroidectomy, minor pediatric cases, urology, and eye surgeries.
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, with at least 40 hours weekly.
- Submission Requirements: Must include responses to specific questions regarding prior work at Providence facilities, presence of valid state license, and references covering at least one year within the last three years.
