Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a healthcare facility located locally in the region. This role involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with responsibilities including attending high risk and low risk deliveries, managing related patient needs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate. ACLS (preferred)
- Education/Experience: 2 years of experience required, with at least 1 year in labor and delivery, and Epic experience.
- Location: Local within a 50-mile radius. Compact license must be in hand at submission.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information:
- Candidate must have prior charge experience, charting system experience, and experience with community hospital settings.
- Ability to assist with high-risk and low-risk deliveries, including GYN surgeries, postpartum, and transition nursery care.
- Must be willing to work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Years/Eve).
- Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in contract termination.
- Candidates are required to respond to specific screening questions upon submission.
